The Dewey-Humboldt Church of Christ Welcomes You!

“I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME.”–JOHN 14:6

We are meeting in the POA building at Prescott Country Club in Dewey located at 1133 Old Chisholm Trail.* Our service times are as follows:

Sunday Bible study: 10:00 a.m.

Sunday Sermon: 11:00 a.m.

WHO WE ARE…

We strive to be the New Testament church you read about in the Bible, nothing more and nothing less.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God who offered Himself as a living sacrifice for our sins, and that salvation is to be found only through Him.

We are not a denomination.

Jesus Christ came to this earth to establish His church (Matthew 16:18).

We have no headquarters or governing body. Each congregation is completely autonomous. The church is the body of Christ, and He is its only head (Matthew 28:18; Ephesians 1:22-23).

Our worship is simple and orderly, as commanded by scripture. We meet every first day of the week (Sunday) to commemorate, by way of the Lord’s Supper, Christ’s sacrifice on the cross for our sins (Acts 20:7).

We sing praises to God a cappella, without musical instruments of any kind, because they are not authorized for worship in the New Testament (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16).

We openly study and teach God’s Word (2 Timothy 4:2).

We pray for God’s guidance, wisdom, protection, forgiveness, and blessings (1 Timothy 2:1; James 1:5; 5:13, 16).

We return to God a portion of those financial blessings which He has richly bestowed upon us (1 Corinthians 16:2;

2 Corinthians 9:6-7).

Our mission is to teach the gospel of Christ throughout the world (Mark 16:15-16).

There is no way to God the Father except through His Son, Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

All are guilty of sin (Romans 3:23), and the consequences of sin is spiritual death (Romans 6:23).

God’s plan of salvation to become a member of His church is simple and straightforward:

  1. We hear the Word (Romans 10:17).
  2. We believe that Christ died for our sins (Romans 5:8, Hebrews 11:6).
  3. We repent of our sins (Acts 2:38, 3:19).
  4. We confess our faith in Christ (Matthew 10:32-33).
  5. We submit to baptism into Christ by total immersion in water (Romans 6:3).
  6. We begin a new life of faithfulness to God (2 Corinthians 5:17; Revelation 2:10).

In other words, “We speak where the Bible speaks and remain silent where the Bible is silent.”

“THE CHURCHES OF CHRIST GREET YOU.” (Romans 16:16).
